Raw Double Chocolate Donuts

Who doesn’t love donuts? This raw recipe is rich, indulgent but packed with good fats, protein and fibre. Using Jake’s Boost Cacao Boost nut butter, these treats are truly irresistible!

Ingredients

  • For The Donuts
  • 150g rolled oats
  • 100g dates, stoned
  • 6 tbsp Jake’s Boost Cacao Boost nut butter
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp coconut oil (can be solid or melted)
  • 2 tbsp cacao or cocoa powder
  • 1 tsp ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 tsp vanilla extract
  • For The Topping
  • 3 tbsp coconut oil
  • 3 tbsp maple syrup
  • 1 tbsp coconut cream
  • 5 tbsp cacao or cocoa powder
  • To Decorate (Optional)
  • Cacao nibs
  • Dried rose petals

Instructions

  1. First soak the dates in hot water for 10 minutes, then drain and place in your Ninja Kitchen Nutri Ninja food processor.

  2. Add the remaining ingredients and pulse on a high setting until the mixture breaks down and comes together.

  3. Line a 4 hole donut tin (or 6 mini hole) with clingfilm and divide the mixture between – use your fingers to press into each one to reach the top and smooth out evenly. Chill in the fridge for at least 2 hours.

  4. Gently melt the coconut oil then whisk in the maple syrup, coconut cream and cacao powder until smooth. Remove the donuts from the fridge and place on a wire rack. Spoon over each donut to roughly cover. Return to the fridge for at least 2 hours.

  5. When ready to serve, pop out the fridge, sprinkle over cacao nibs then enjoy!
