My name is Shane Warman and I am the bass guitar player in a Grass-roots Southern Rock Band Rudy Warman & The Heavy Weather. The other members of the band are my two youngest sons, Zenon Warman on Drums and Rudy Warman on Guitar and lead Vocals. We have previously played on a lot of street corners earning an extremely modest living from Busking around the UK and mainland Europe.
My wife and I have both been vegetarian since we were wide-eyed 19 year olds, and we have brought all of our five children up on a meat-free diet. Due to the flood of information available on the Internet and the sad fact that male calves are usually taken and slaughtered during the first few days of their lives, we as a family decided to make the move to a dairy free Vegan Lifestyle a little over 3 years ago. Since then we have found that we have had to become increasingly more health conscious. We have also taken up Yoga and one of our Yoga teachers informed us that he is eating only Raw Vegan foods (He is still Super Strong and Super Fit at 43 years old).
Apparently cooking food over a high heat, equates to destroying the most essential healing properties of a plant-based diet.
Just as we were making so much positive progress, we learn that we still have much to learn. For the time being, rather than taking on another drastic change in our eating habits, we have decided to gradually add more raw plant-based food to our daily eating patterns. The thought of chewing on raw carrots during the day doesn’t actually fill me with enthusiasm, even though at the tender age of 51, I’m starting to realise a healthy diet will play a vital role in maintaining the health I do have. But like many others of my generation, I am a child of the 1960’s. We were brought up on Sugar, Salt and Cigarettes!
How on earth am I supposed to get a handful of Raw Kale, Raw carrots, Flaxseed, Spirulina, and Wheatgrass past my child-like taste buds without my mind screaming in revolt and despair? I still want to enjoy the life that I have.
How will I ever become the Superhero Ninja that my Super Ego demands I should be?
We are all finding ourselves “caught-up” in the ever-increasing demands of modern western living. It’s so easy and available to just pick-up fast food on-the-go. This can be true for many of us that desire to lead a healthier lifestyle, but just don’t seem to be able to find enough time, or be able to summon up the strength of character to live in a state of constant Self-discipline, that the alternative Ideal Me aspires to.
Truth be told, Vegan Chocolate and vegan Ice-cream taste amazing!
(Especially when mixed)
“So what can a 50 something aspiring Superhero to do?’ I hear you say.
Well my health conscious siblings, we are all blessed to be in the right place at the right time. The Nutri Ninja has come to the rescue. This is a truly Fantastic Tool/Friend to have in your kitchen. This very morning I loaded my Ninja with,
- 1 Super healthy handful of organic Raw Green Kale
- 2 organic Bananas
- 2 organic Raw Carrots
- 3 organic dried Dates
- 3 organic dried Apricots
- 1 Teaspoonful of organic Spirulina powder
- 1 Tablespoonful of organic Wheatgrass
- 1 teaspoonful of organic peanut butter
- 1/2 a cup of organic soya milk
- 400ml of distilled water from our Megahome tabletop water distiller.
(for a purple magic variation… just add Beetroot Juice )
My 650ml Nutri Ninja Cup was filled to the brim and all I had to do, (after washing and chopping the veg) was to place the loaded cup onto the Ninja and press down for approximately 30seconds.
This gizmo is a lifesaver for a middle aged waster like me. I can enjoy amazing smoothies at the push of a button (or cup).
My advice to anyone with kids who are considering purchasing a Ninja, is pay a little extra for the “AUTO iQ” version. This lets your children learn to produce their own smoothies (under supervision), press the blend button and then leave the room thus avoiding unnecessary noise.
During the month of December 2016, me and the Boys were invited to perform as the Opening Act for 90’s Psychedelic/Rock band Kula Shaker on their amazing Twentieth Anniversary K2.0 Tour of the UK.
This was our first foray into the demanding world of professional Rock n’ Roll. We played to approximately 2.5 – 3,000 people per night, and although we were just the support band, we soon realised that in order to complete the tour to a professional standard we would have to remain in optimum health.
After only 3 shows, trying to shop for healthy vegan food on the road, we made a desperate call home and asked for our Nutri Ninja. We were soon enjoying Superfood Health Shakes whilst saving a small fortune in shopping costs. Once again our Nutri Ninja came to the rescue and our vegan delights soon became the envy of all of the crew.
Since completing the tour, we have realised how important proper nutrition can be in our daily lives. It helps preserve the mind body and spirit. These are the essential elements of artistic creativity. Our Ninja has also become the perfect travelling companion, so much so, we are planning to upgrade to the Ninja Kitchen System with Nutri Ninja (BL682UK2) for the home (as my wife has started to prepare the most simply amazing Raw Vegan Fruit & Nut Sweets)… thus freeing-up our trusty Nutri Ninja 900W blender (BL450UK) to join us on the road as the 4th member the band. As for me? Personally, I’m up for a Peacefully Loving Healthy Revolution.
If I find something that I believe to be great and it works, then I will shout it from the rooftops for everyone to hear and enjoy.
“Treat yourselves to a Nutri Ninja!
Go Vegan and Save The World! Do Yoga…
Play Music and Sing and Dance… whenever possible!”
There are many other products on the market claiming to do a similar job, but for us, the Nutri Ninja is by far the best piece of kit for the best possible price.
