This gorgeous green smoothie makes a great start to the day. It has everything you need to power you through the morning, including banana, leafy greens and hemp protein powder. Adding spinach and protein powder to your smoothie helps to make it more nutritious and filling. I don’t think that you can taste the spinach when it’s blended with sweet pear and I really love drinking this smoothie because it tastes yummy and I know it’s good for me.
Green Pear Smoothie Bowl
If you don’t have hemp protein powder you could add hemp hearts instead – I’ve found the Nutri Ninja to be powerful enough to blend them into a smooth drink.
- 1 medium pear
- 1 small ripe banana, peeled, chopped & frozen
- 230ml oat milk
- 1 - 2 handfuls spinach
- 15g hemp protein powder
- 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1 tsp psyllium husk
- Juice of 1/2 a lime
Chop the fruit and place all of the ingredients in your blender.
Blend until smooth.
Once the smoothie has blended pour it into a bowl and top with your choice of granola, seeds and fresh fruit.
