Whizz up a batch of Gingerbread Raw Hot Chocolate Mix in just 3 minutes. It makes the perfect gift for loved ones or just a super special treat for you.
Gingerbread Raw Hot Chocolate Mix (Paleo, Vegan)
- For The Hot Chocolate Mix
- 1 1/2 cups raw cacao powder
- 1 1/2 cups coconut sugar
- 1 tbsp + 1 tsp ground ginger
- 1 tbsp + 1 tsp ground cinnamon
- 1.5 tsp ground nutmeg
- Per Hot Chocolate
- 3 slightly heaped tbsp gingerbread hot chocolate mix (see above recipe)
- 1/3 cup freshly boiled water
- 1/4 tsp blackstrap molasses (optional)
- 2/3 cup milk
Place all of the ingredients for the hot chocolate mix into your largest Ninja Cup, screw on the lid and give a shake. Process on the NUTRI NINJA Ultra Blend setting until powdered. You may need to shake the contents and process a few times. Transfer to an airtight mason jar or container and use within 1 month.
To make the hot chocolate take 3 slightly heaped tablespoons of the mixture and add to a mug or heatproof glass. Gradually whisk in 1/3 cup of freshly boiled hot water, then mix in your blackstrap molasses (if using) and set to one side.
Heat your milk in a small heavy bottomed pan over a low heat and bring to a simmer. Remove from the heat and whisk into your chocolate mixture. Leave to cool slightly then transfer half of the hot chocolate to a large Nutri Ninja cup and blend for 5 seconds. Pour back into the mug. This will make your hot chocolate super frothy! Add any optional extra toppings and enjoy.
