Packed with anti-inflammatories, antioxidants and vital vitamins, this natural energy drink is the perfect way to rehydrate during the long, hot days of summer. The ginger in this delicious blended beverage aids digestion too. This is the basic recipe, but there’s nothing stopping you from adding an extra ingredient here and there to make it your own. Ginger Pear Defence
- 1 ripe pear
- 5g fresh ginger
- 560ml cold water
- Sweetener to taste
For the tastiest drink possible, choose ripened pears for added sweetness.
Peel, seed and quarter the pear.
Place the pear in your favourite blender, along with the rest of your ingredients.
Blend for around 20 seconds, or until your desired consistency is achieved.
Strain the mixture so you’re left with only deliciously flavoured water.
Alternatively, drink the thick mixture like a smoothie.
Add sweetener to taste.
