This Gin Colada is a fun take on the original summer rum based drink, the Piña Colada. Made with Blackwoods Vintage Dry Gin, fresh pineapple juice, and coconut cream.
Notes: If you can’t get your hands on frozen pineapple then replace with fresh and add in an additional 1/4-1/2 cup of ice cubes. To spice things up a bit try blending in 1/4″ piece of peeled fresh root ginger.
- 75ml pure pineapple juice
- 25ml-50ml Blackwoods Vintage Dry Gin
- 50ml coconut cream
- 1 tbsp freshly squeezed lime juice
- 125ml (about 5 chunks) frozen pineapple
- 250ml ice cubes
- Optional decorations
- Pineapple slices
- Fresh cherries
- Toasted coconut
Blend together all of the Gin Colada ingredients (except for the ice cubes) on the ‘Frozen Drinks’ setting until fully combined. Add the ice and pulse a few times until the ice cubes become crushed
Pour into a glass and top with the optional decorations if you wish
