It’s always good to think of ways to turn your modest family gatherings into something more lavish. And what’s more lavish than a party?
But if you want to earn the right to call your family gathering a party, you need to deliver an air of sophistication. Yes, you can make a start by serving strawberries and cream with Pimms, but anyone can do that.
To set your family parties apart from those of your neighbours, and friends, you’ll need to explore the exotic and sophisticated — and you can do just that with this recipe for a frozen mojito.
Of course, no one wants to spend their day making mojitos, and you don’t need to with this recipe. Gather the ingredients together beforehand, and you can create batches of mojito within seconds by using your favourite blender.
- 2 limes
- 12 mint leaves
- 60ml simple syrup
- 180ml white rum
- 450g ice cubes
Start your mojito by juicing your limes.
You should then create your simple syrup by boiling up 90ml of water with 60 grams of sugar.
Once the sugar has dissolved, take the pan off the heat and allow the syrup to cool fully.
Throw all of the ingredients into your favourite blender, and blend until a smooth consistency has been achieved.
Serve your mojito in a classic cocktail glass with a sprig of mint for maximum impact.
To make bigger batches, simply increase the quantity of ingredients used while maintaining the same ratios.
