These brownies are an absolutely guilt-free treat. The combination of the dark chocolate and fresh strawberries is absolutely divine. Although this recipe is not vegan or gluten-free you can easily swap to flax-egg and choose a good quality gluten-free flour.
Dark Chocolate & Strawberry Brownies
If you are not a lover of dark chocolate swap to a milk chocolate instead.
- 120ml maple syrup
- 1 1/2 tsp vanilla essence
- 150ml melted butter
- 2 beaten eggs
- 100g melted dark chocolate
- 1 tsp salt
- 100g plain flour
- 1/2 tsp baking powder
- 3 tbsp sugar-free cacao powder
- 5-6 strawberries
Begin by preheating the oven to 180C degrees.
Using the processing bowl of your Ninja Kitchen system, add the dough blade, pour in the maple syrup, vanilla essence, melted butter, eggs, and melted chocolate and select low/dough for a few seconds.
Gently add the salt, flour, baking powder and cacao powder and select low/dough for 1-2 minutes.
Pour the brownie batter into a baking tray (I used a 26x20x5 tin) lined with grease proof paper and add thin slices of strawberries.
Place in the oven and bake for 15-20 minutes.
Remove from the oven and allow it to cool completely.
Once the brownies have cooled drizzle with extra melted dark chocolate (optional).
