This section of our website is for recipes and tips shared by Ninja users, so they have not been tested by us and we do not have nutritional information for recipes.

For the nutella lovers, these are everything and more! Plus no baking is required, just a helping-hand from the Ninja. They’re crumbly and the hazelnut chocolate combination is just perfect. Washed down perfectly with a cup of tea, these bars cannot be missed.

  • For the base
  • 200g arrowroot biscuits/rich teas
  • 75g ground hazelnuts (ground whole hazelnuts in the Ninja into a fine meal)
  • 35g chopped hazelnuts (ground whole hazelnuts into chunks in the Ninja)
  • 80ml maple syrup
  • 1 tsp vanilla extract
  • 100ml coconut oil
  • Pinch of salt
  • For the chocolate topping
  • 180g dairy free dark chocolate
  • 2 tbsp coconut oil
  • 50g chopped hazelnuts (ground whole hazelnuts into chunks in the Ninja)
  • 30g whole hazelnuts (halved)
Prep Time

  1. Line a square tin with parchment paper or grease with coconut oil

  2. In the Ninja, add your biscuits and blend until crumbs are formed. Try not to over blend

  3. Empty biscuit crumbs into a large mixing bowl and add your ground hazelnuts, chopped hazelnuts, maple syrup, vanilla extract, pinch of salt and coconut oil. Combine

  4. Empty mixture into tin, spread evenly and press down firmly. Place in freezer whilst you make the chocolate topping

  5. Melt your dark chocolate and coconut oil together in the microwave until smooth and combined

  6. Empty in your chopped hazelnuts and combine, before pouring on top of your base

  7. Lastly, scatter your hazelnut halves on top before placing back in the freezer to set for 30 minutes, before cutting into squares
