Have you ever tried adding cashew nuts to your smoothie? If not, why not?
Cashew nuts are rich in minerals such as copper and magnesium. They also add protein, which is essential to repair cells and can help make the smoothie more filling. However, my favourite reason to add cashews is that they make the smoothie super creamy and delicious.
Creamy Pink Smoothie
Just make sure that you soak the cashew nuts first, otherwise, they won’t blend as smoothly.
- 1 ripe banana
- 230ml beetroot, apple and carrot juice
- 80ml coconut water
- 30g cashew nuts
- 1 tbsp vanilla protein powder
Soak the cashews overnight in water or for 10 minutes in boiling water.
Blend all of the ingredients on high until smooth.
