Tomorrow is European Heart Failure Awareness day, to show support for this Ninja Kitchen & Filippo Berio have challenged me to create a healthy heart smoothie bowl.
This is definitely my favourite smoothie combination. It literally feels like having dessert for breakfast! It’s super creamy and indulgent but still packed with so much plant goodness.
Avocado & Cacao Smoothie bowl
The Filippo Berio olive oil adds a subtle rich flavour and healthy plantbased fats.
- 1 frozen banana
- 1/2 avocado
- 1 tbsp almond or cashew butter
- 20ml Filippo Berio Classic olive oil
- 120ml brown rice milk or other non dairy milk of your choice
- 2 tbsp raw cacao powder
- Dash vanilla extract
- Toppings (optional)
- Fresh strawberries or berries of your choice
- Cacao nibs
- Bee pollen
Simply blend all the ingredients together ( apart from the toppings) until everything is smooth and creamy.
Pour the smoothie into a bowl and top with the toppings of your choice.
