Why spend a fortune on protein snacks and treats when you can just make your own at home for a fraction of the price? These flapjacks are packed with protein, no butter or oil needed, as the natural oils from the peanut butter is all the recipe needs. Use these as part of your post-workout routine.
Apple & Cinnamon Protein Flapjacks
- 400g gluten free oats
- 250ml coconut milk
- 2 tbsp smooth peanut butter
- 50g whey protein (I used apple flavour)
- 1 tsp ground cinnamon + extra to sprinkle
- 8 tbsp Stevia + extra to sprinkle
- 3 apples, core removed and thinly slices with skin
Begin by pre-heating the oven to 180C degrees.
Using the bowl of you Ninja Kitchen System and the plastic blade, place the oats, milk, peanut butter, protein, cinnamon and stevia direct into the bowl and pulse several times to mix the ingredients together and create the flapjack mixture.
Pour the mixture in a baking tray lined with greaseproof paper, and press down to make sure the flapjacks are even.
Place the thin slices of apple over the flapjack, sprinkle with stevia and cinnamon and place in the oven.
Bake in the oven for 20 minutes, then remove from the oven and allow the flapjacks to cool completely before slicing into squares.
