Just the right mix of crunchy and chewy – these almond and espresso bliss balls make a delicious grab and go snack. Give yourself an energy kick by using your strongest coffee, or make them more mellow with decaf.
Almond Espresso Bliss Balls
- 100g squishy dates
- 50g almonds
- 30g chocolate or vanilla protein powder
- 2 tbsp 100% almond butter
- 2 tbsp espresso (or 1 tsp coffee granules and 2 tbsp water)
- Pinch sea salt flakes
- 1 tbsp maple syrup
Place all of the ingredients in your blender and pulse 3-4 times. Remove the blender from the side and give it a shake to mix up the ingredients.
Repeat step one about 5 times until there are no large pieces of almond or date. If the protein powder or almond butter gets stuck to the side of the blender you may need to scrape it off the side with a spoon before you start pulsing again.
Once the ingredients are mixed together, roll the dough into 8 equal sized balls. Store in the fridge
